My humble tribute to artist Claude Monet, that great French Impressionist who so wonderfully captured the essence of light and air. A small boat landing in rural America provides the subject matter for this pondscape. The scene is borrowed from childhood memories spent fishing with a favorite uncle. A gorgeous still life featuring realistic renderings of sunlight reflections and wonderful foreshortened perspective on the boats. And all done in an expressive palette resembling the colors of Monet.
